Matrusri Oriental College Alumni Association
Some of our old students are well placed and acclaimed as the teaching staff. Further they acquired research degrees such as M.phil, Ph.D. These achievements of the students of our college vouch for our standards and academic excellence. Our students mostly hail from the socially weaker, economically depressed sections of the society spread across poorer, deprived sectors. Our intake of the students over the decades is spread all over the state as also across the cross sections of community and caste with little distinction.
The students passing out of our college both in the disciplines of Sanskrit and Telugu are finding ready placement in the job market outside. As our College enjoys good reputation in the academic field and the job opportunities for the students of our institutions are aplenty our candidates are finding suitable employment readily.
Many students came out with flying colors; won excellent prizes and awards in inter collegiate competitions and secured distinction in their final exams. Quite a few of our students are securing good jobs in various government schools and colleges, amidst tough competition being offered competitive salaries.
Many students of Matrusri Oriental College won elocution competitions in Sanskrit and Telugu at the State and National levels. Sri Chaitanya Kumar, alumni of the college received National Youth Award for the year 2007-08 from the Vice President of India for his distinguished and sustained service activities like organizing blood donation camps, eye camps and providing relief to the victims of natural calamities. It is notable that during 2008-09, Sri Chaitanya Kumar was sponsored by the Government of India to visit Malaysia and Japan under the Commonwealth Programme. Another student by name Sivalenka Prasada Rao has conducted one thousand blood donation camps under the auspices of “AMMA”. He is verily the role model for many of the students.
